It isn’t just your gambling grandma who plays the Lotto anymore. Our target was one of the main buyers of Scratchers and one of the biggest parts of California’s diverse demo: Hispanics (or Cal-Hispanics in strategy-speak).

Scratchers are one of life’s little pleasures, releasing a burst of dopamine and a few bucks from your wallet. We captured the essence of that feeling by taking some small moments of play to a surreal level of fun.

Californians sure do have it easy. And we aimed to capture that laid-back vibe to promote the new California Dreamin’ Scratchers.

We made a “play”-able Snapchat filter for the World Cup. It performed incredibly well and became a benchmark game for Snapchat’s ad team to show other clients.
